When I first started out in business, one of the very first men I
met who put me on the path to success was Ted Nicholas.  Even back
in 1996 he was known as an "old master" in direct marketing, and I
paid attention to every word he said.

One of the things he told me that always stuck with me was this:

What that means is, not only are you constantly on the lookout for
opportunity, you are also on the lookout for opportunities others
can’t see—and that is often where the big money is made.

Ted’s point was you had to train yourself to have opportunity eyes,
because oftentimes the opportunity wasn’t apparent.  Not only that,
you have to be able to evaluate the opportunity to see if it is
worth pursuing, sometimes to the point of putting everything else
you’re doing on hold.

The same thing holds true in attraction.  You have to develop
opportunity eyes, and then act on the opportunity because it IS
fleeting.

For example, if you see an attractive woman in the gym at odd
hours, you cannot say to yourself, "well, I’ll talk to her next
time," or "I can’t wait to see her again."  You’ve got to grab the
opportunity, initiate the conversation and make another meeting
happen.

Or maybe you’re at the track running and you see an attractive
woman coming towards you.  You only have a split second—but that
could mean the difference between a lifetime together and ships
that passed in the night.

Most men do not wind up with the woman they want.  It’s because
they have neither opportunity eyes, nor the will to act when it
appears.  If you develop them, you’ll be the man with something few
men ever get—the woman you really want.
