Answer: The <Forgot Username/Password> feature is attached to the login area of www.EliteMate.com on the upper left hand side. Just fill out your username or email address and we will email you your username and password.

2. Question: What do I do if I want to change my username?

Answer: You have to fill out another profile in order to get another username.

3.Question: What do I do if I want to change my password?

Answer: Log in at www.elitemate.com and click on <My Profile> and then scroll down to My Account Information, click on the bottom Edit button and change your password, then click the submit button to finalize the changes.

4. Question: Can my username and email address be the same?

Answer: No. For reason of maintaining security and anonymity, your username and email address cannot be the same.

5. Question: How do I create a profile?

Answer: Go to www.elitemate.com and click on the <Sign Up Free> tab and fill in the required data requested  Use referral code ELITE to get a $5 discount per month.

6. Question: Can I change my profile and how?

Answer: Log in at www.elitemate.com and go to <My Profile> and click on the Edit button, make the changes you wish and then press the submit tab after you make changes to finalize them.

8. Question: Is it a good idea to post my photo on EliteMate.com?

Answer: Posting a photo on EliteMate statistically yields up to 9 times more responses than not having a photo posted. If someone doesn't know what you look like they might just pass up your profile.  Physical attraction for most people is part of the selection process. However, if you prefer that no one view your photo, and you just want to seek others out, then not posting a photo will work for you.  Most users do searches with pictures only so if you don't have pictures posted someone might just pass you up.

9. Question: Are there guidelines for posting a photo?

Answer: Please adhere to the following photo guidelines:

* Nude, obscene, sexual or otherwise offensive photos will not be posted.
* Cartoon characters and photos of celebrities are copyrighted and will not be posted.
* You must be in the photo and clearly visible.
* Group photos are not permitted.

10. Question: How do I post a photo?

Answer: EliteMate.com makes it easy for you, by offering three ways to post a photo.

Option 1: Upload a Photo (Processed in 1 to 2 days)

To upload a photo directly from your computer, simply log-on with your username and password at www.elitemate.com, then go to the <My Pictures> page click the browse tab next to each photo and find the picture file to upload on your computer.  You can post up to three photos of yourself. You can also upload pictures of yourself on the <Manage Photos> page of EliteMate. Each photo should be 1000k or less. Photo files are accepted in .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, or .bmp formats. Your photo(s) must meet our photo guidelines, as explained in the answer to Question 9 in our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of EliteMate. Once approved, uploaded photos will be reshaped and/or resized to fit our system. Due to the high volume of photos that we receive, it may take a few days for your photo to appear on your profile.

Option 2: Email a Photo (Processed in 1-3 days)

Only one photo per email please. To help speed up the process when you email your photo, please include the following information:

First and last name
EliteMate.com username
EliteMate.com registered email address
Photo file, as an attachment to your email
Specify which photo you want to be your primary (if sending more than one).

Email photos to pictures@elitemate.com. Please send photos as attachments only. We cannot accept a picture embedded in an email. Due to the large number of photos submitted by email, posting may take a few days. Your photo(s) must meet our photo guidelines, as explained in the answer to Question 9 in EliteMate's FAQ section.

Option 3: Mail a Photo

We will scan, crop and post your photos for free! Be sure to select photos no larger than 5" x 7" and no smaller than 2" x 2." Your photo(s) must meet our photo guidelines, as explained in the answer to Question 9 in EliteMate's FAQ section. Please write the following on the back of your photo:

First and last name
EliteMate.com username
EliteMate.com registered email address
Birth date (mm/dd/yyyy)
Specify which photo you want to be your primary (if sending more than one)

The fastest method for sending your photo(s) is through the US Postal Service's "Express" or "Priority Mail." To avoid a significant delivery delay, you MUST CHECK the "no signature required" box.

To have your photo returned to you, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope that is big enough to hold the photo(s).

11. Question: Can I add other photos to the one I have already posted?

Answer: Yes. Log in at www.elitemate.com and go to the <My Pictures> page and click on the replace tab, browse your computer for a new picture file and upload it.  The file type must be a jpeg, jpg, bmap or gif image and 1000k in size or less in size.

12. Question: How long will it take for my photo to appear on your site?

Answer: It may take a few days for your photo to appear on EliteMate. Each photo has to be validated and checked by our support department.

13. Question: Do you have a membership plan and what is the pricing?

Answer: EliteMate allows you to post a profile free of charge.  You can search the whole database free of charge.  Your first log in right after you register is fully privileged for as long as you stay logged in.  If you would like to become a fully privileged member a monthly membership fee will apply. 14. Question: What payment options do I have?

18. Question: Is there a difference between searching and matching?

Answer: No, it's the same feature.

19. Question: What is <Search for Mates>?

Answer: <Search for Mate> is the online function of the site that allows you to search through EliteMate's database for members based on your chosen criteria in order to find someone you are interested in. If you are looking to see who's online at any given time, use the <Who's Online> feature.

20. Question: Can I save a search and how?

Answer: Log in, then Go to <Search For Mates> and go to <Full Search>, fill out your chosen criteria, and then click <Save this Search as My Search> at the bottom of the page and then you can click on the My Search tab in the My Menu Area to access all of the current singles in your criteria.

21. Question: Can I delete a saved search and how?

Answer: When you create a new search and save it, it saves over the old search, in effect deleting it.

22. Question: Can I save as many searches as I want?

Answer: No, you can save only one search at a time.

23. Question: Why don't I seem to be getting many/any responses?

Answer: Post a picture and submit your video.  Most users search for profiles with pictures or video.  You should broaden your search parameters in the <Full Search> area of EliteMate. You should also have a photo posted on the site if you wish to yield more responses. Our studies have shown you can get up to 8 times more responses with a photo. Makes sure all the information in your profile is filled out completely. You can also reread your profile to check for spelling and grammatical errors.

24. Question: Is the email I send to other members anonymous?

Answer: Users will only receive your EliteMate username and then be able to
view your profile and picture. However, your first name, last name, personal
email address, phone number, and/or other personal information are always
safely kept anonymous.  You can also send pictures through EliteMate.com without giving out your personal email address.  We accept jpg, jpeg, gif or bmap images through our email system. Send up to 3 per email message.  This is a great safety feature.

25. Question: If I receive email from an EliteMate member, do I have to
join in order to reply?

Answer: You can receive email from members after you register free. You can list your personal and read messages free of charge.  You have to pay a fee in order to reply.  Your first log in after registration is free and fully privileged, you are allowed to send unlimited emails for as long as you stay logged in (Not Idle).


26. Question: What do I do if I no longer wish to be a member?

Answer: You must email the support department at support@elitemate.com and request a stop on your subscription.

27. Question: When does my billing stop?

Answer: Your billing doesn't stop unless you stop it by emailing us at billing@elitemate.com and provide your username, password, first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code and reason to stop reoccurring billing. .  Please read our complete billing terms at http://www.elitemate.com/htm/terms.htm.

28. Question: How can I re-instate my membership?

Answer: Once you try to access a member privilege area you will be prompted
to rejoin and then you can follow the directions to re-instate your
membership or email support@elitemate.com and ask to be reactivated.  Please include your username and password along with the email address you originally subscribed to EliteMate.com with.

 

29: Question: I bought a 3 month membership and only used 1 month; will I be reimbursed for the unused 2 months?

30. Question: What becomes of my profile if I cancel my membership?

Answer: It is stored in our database in case you want to rejoin some other time. You will then be viewed as a guest rather than a member. That means you can still receive emails and Elite Cards, but you cannot send any of these unless you wish to reactivate again.
If you wish to be removed from our site completely, just let us know by emailing us at support@elitemate.com and we will promptly delete your profile.

31. Question: How do I reactivate my profile?

Answer: Once you try to login again with your old username and password, you will be prompted to rejoin by emailing support@elitemate.com.  After the EliteMate Support Team reinstates your membership, your old profile will be restored.

32. Question: If I cancel my membership, can other EliteMate members still search for me?

Answer: Yes, they can search for you as long as you do not request to have your canceled membership/profile removed from our database.

33. Question: Why does the EliteMate's website seem to be running slow today?

Answer: If you are having trouble with the speed of our site it could be one of three things:

1. EliteMate.com might be experiencing exceptionally high volume. Please be patient and try to log onto us again later.
2. The connection on your end might be the difficulty. Double-check your modem settings or connection speed to make sure you're connected at the highest possible Internet connection rate.
3. The Internet itself may be experiencing a traffic jam. Try again another time when the information highway is less crowded.

How To Make EliteMate Work Best On Your Computer System

34. Question: How do I block users from emailing me?

Answer: Log in to www.elitemate.com and go the <Mailbox> page of EliteMate, click on the email message of the user that you wish to block, and then click the <Block User> button.
The user will no longer can no longer contact you in any way unless you unblock him or her.

35. Question: What if my browser keeps telling me that my session has expired and I can not get on the site?

Answer: It sounds like the browser you are using is not up to date with our browser requirements located here http://www.elitemate.com/htm/requirements.htm. Check to see if you need to update the version you have. You can usually do this for free. Also very important, delete the temporary internet folders you have, delete the cache memory, delete all offline content in the browser and set the browser to check for new versions of the site every time you visit the page. Updating your browser and/or deleting the cache memory in it can rectify the problem with the time out issue you are having.
